These are just some of the pictures of things you can see here. Everywhere you go you can see lakes, rivers & falls. There are 3 Mine Tours, Quincy in Hancock, The Delaware MIne near Mohawk, heading to Copper Harbor, and the Adventure Mine in Greenland, not too far from us. There are all types of museums, National Park, State Parks, historical buildings, casinos, golf courses, ski hills, hiking trails, snowmobile/atv trail, snowshoe, fish, or eat fish:) speaking of eating, don't forget to get one of those pasties (meat pies the miners use to take for lunch) they are delish!! There are festivals throughout the year. Winter Carnival is in February, put on at MTU, showcasing Ice sculptures, a torchlight Parade in the dark down Mount Ripley and fireworks. In June we have Bridgefest at the waterfront in Houghton, with parade, seafood, vendors, music, fireworks and many other activities. This year there will be a 5K run as well. July and August has waterway cruises. The Strawberry Festival is in Chassell, a chance to get one of their famous Strawberry sundaes, with fresh yum.. berries. August 25th is the Keweenaw Brewfest at the waterfront in Houghton, you also might want to tour the microbrewery! You can picnic at the parks and there are many. Chutes and Ladders, at the waterfront, is fun for the kids and free! You can swim, boat and whatever else you like to do. There really is something for everyone!
